Bay High Schools Million Dollar Band is looking for YOU to be a part of our Superior Auxiliary Unit!
If you are zoned for the school or have been accepted by school choice, we have a place for you. As a majorette, colorguard, or dancer with the Million Dollar Band, you will have the opportunity to learn dance techniques from a former Radio City Rockette and Broadway performer, twirling techniques from a former Troy University majorette captain, and guard techniques from a Scholastic A Winterguard Director. If you are looking to be a part of the largest organization at Bay High School, save the dates and we will see you at auditions!
**If you missed fall auditions but would like to audition for our Bay Breeze Varsity and JV Winterguard Units in September, you must become a part of the Million Dollar Band this year. Stop by the bandroom for more information or email the Auxiliary Director at bhsauxiliary_gmail.com.
Bay Breeze Fall Auxiliary
About Bay Breeze Winterguard....
Bay Breeze Winterguard has previously competed with a varied skill level within our single performing unit. This year we are proud to announce the formation of a second unit to better accommodate and showcase the abilities of all performers regardless of their skill level, from beginner to intermediate to advanced.
Auditions are held in September and all candidates must be current members of the Million Dollar Band to audition for Winterguard. Skill level as assessed by staff determines placement on the Varsity or Jr. Varsity guard unit, not prior participation on Bay Breeze or Middle School Guard Units.
Bay Breeze Winterguard shows are known for being out of the box, anything but ordinary and rarely looking like the typical performances seen on the circuit. Creative, exciting, fun, and thought provoking are usually a more apt description of a Bay Breeze Winterguard show. We are very proud of our 20+ years presence on the Gulf Coast Color Guard Circuit representing Bay High School and Bay County with pride and excellence.
World Championships are held in Dayton, Ohio each year and our goal is to make it to Dayton as often as possible. It is an honor to compete on an international stage against guards from around the world at this high profile, exciting event and we want to give our teams the chance to participate in this rewarding experience at every opportunity.
A Bay Breeze Winterguard show requires dedication, commitment and hard work. It also requires hours of personal practice time, respect for/submission to authority, and a drive to be the best we can possibly be. In return team members learn self-discipline, how to set and meet a standard of excellence, how to get along with others, time management skills, personal fitness, good sportsmanship, esprit de corps, and how to represent Bay County, Bay High School, the Million Dollar Band, Bay Breeze and themselves, well.
