What's new for June:

  • Saturday, June 27th: Auxiliary Car Wash from 8am - 2pm at 23rd St. State Ave
  • All auxiliary members HAVE to attend, unless you have talked to one of the staff members with a legitimate reason as to why you cannot.
 
 


What's new for July:

  • Thursday, July 9th: Officer and Section Leader meeting in the bandroom at 3pm
    Parent and Student meeting in the bandroom at 7pm. This will be the first meeting for the 2009-2010 school year.

  • Saturday, July 11: Colorguard and Majorette car wash from 8am - 2pm. Location TBA

  • Monday, July 13: DCI show in Ft. Walton. Go and check it out!

  • July 20-23: Auxiliary and Percussion Band Camp @ the Band Room!!!
    We will be teaching routines and cadences for the upcoming show. Drink lots and lots of water; remember that DRESS CODE is in effect the ENTIRE week. Schedule will be:

    * Monday: 8am - 4pm, Auxiliary, Percussion, and Rookie

    *Tuesday: 8am - 4pm (Auxiliary, Percussion, Rookie) , 6pm - 9pm (FULL BAND)

    *Wednesday: 8am - 4pm, Auxiliary, Percussion, and Rookie

    *Thursday: 8am - 4pm (Auxiliary, Percussion, Rookie) , 6pm - 9pm (FULL BAND)


  • July 27-31: FULL BAND CAMP from 8am - 5pm
    This is the most crucial time of year for the band. It is important that you are on time and here with a positive attitude. We will be learning our halftime show as well as other music. To guarantee your spot in the halftime show, you MUST be present. Drink PLENTY of water, and wear cool clothes. Dress code is ENFORCED! If you do not follow dress code, you will not be allowed to participate until you are in correct clothing and shoes. The dress code below pertains to the ENTIRE BAND:

    Horn players:

    * Comfortable T-SHIRT - no halter, spaghetti, tank top, or sleeveless allowed.

    * Comfortable shorts - NO JEANS!!! It is going to be HOT HOT HOT on the practice field.

    * ATTENTION ALL FEMALES: BICYCLE SHORTS MUST BE WORN under any shorts above your knees...no exceptions.

    * Tennis shoes only - no flip flops, dressy, converse, etc. You are marching, therefore you need shoes that will allow you to point your toes.

    * Hair pulled back, and out of your face.



    Auxiliary Members:
    * Comfortable T-SHIRT - no halter, spaghetti, or sleeveless allowed.

    * Flexible shorts - no jeans, jean shorts, or dressy shorts. Only comfortable shorts

    * BICYCLE SHORTS MUST BE WORN under ANY length shorts. You will be dancing, kicking, and moving around, so it is only appopriate that you wear these under your shorts.

    * Tennis shoes only - no flip flops, jazz, twirling, or converse shoes allowed.

    * Hair pulled back into a ponytail and bangs pinned out of your face.
